Keeping Ourselves Entertained...

Entertainment was the common denominator I came up with for all these pictures. I suppose I could also consider that they were all taken last weekend, but aren't getting posted until Thursday.

Our friends, Phil and Kelly, came to visit last weekend. We haven't seen them since their wedding in August of 2007. This was the only photo I took. Pathetic, really.

The kids talked them into playing Skip-Bo.

Shea dragged Greeley around on a blanket for a bit. Cheap thrills are readily available around here.

We also got snow last weekend. Rich bundled Atlee and Greeley up for sledding in the front yard. See the mystical spirit orb on Greeley's butt? When I first saw it, I was all "Wow! The first picture I've ever taken in Gettysburg with an orb!" Then I realized Greeley's snowsuit had a reflective triangle on it. To be fair to me, I had been drinking.

"I can't put my arms down!"

Rich had to pull them back to the top of the [ahem] hill each time. What's that? Oh, it's the sound of all of my Adirondack friends laughing at my liberal use of the word hill.

Yes....I laughed outloud at the "hill" comment. BUT to be fair, I haven't seen your yard - it COULD be a complete hill. And, sadly, Blake has only gone sledding down our snowbank-"hills". They're about 10-12 feet high and the ride is short and quick! Blake isn't all about sledding, yet.

Nice mule work there, Rich!

We had that storm a few days before you. There are some huge (seriously) hills in Prospect Park and Central Park. I was going to sled myself, but it just didn't seem right without a pink snowsuit with a reflective triangle on the butt.

Cheap thrills and mystical spirit orbs. Sounds like a typical weekend around the Riordan household.

Yes, I too find the use of the word "hill" in other parts of the country to be a bit perplexing. I was all excited to work in Farmington Hills when I moved to Michigan until I learned that the name itself was obviously a cruel hoax and that Farmington Really Flat Place would have been a better name.

It's rather like that moment in the Princess Bride when Inigo says to Vezzini, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Totally forgot to comment about #1 pulling #3:

At least your floors got a cleaning.

We love pulling them on a blanket. Cleans the floor, too...
