Waiting for Child Protective Services....

So, I'm waiting with bated breath for the knock on the door from Child Protective Services. Why's that you ask? You seem like a good mother, why would they knock? Because Shea did his homework last week. Shea's spelling assignment was to use his ten words in different sentences. He was grumbling and fussing about how he couldn't think of anything, so I helped. His first word was under. I pointed out the Greeley was UNDER the desk. There is a giant pile of laundry UNDER Shea's bed. On and on we go in this vein until we get to the word better. I point out that Shea is BETTER than his father at Gameboy. Shea likes ice cream BETTER than vegetables. You had BETTER do your homework or I'll beat you. Want to go ahead and guess which sentence made it onto his homework? Sshh... I think I hear them knocking now.

So the whole "you'll be cursed with kids just like you" has already begun. :)

Yes...that brings back fond memories of the fun book I received from Mother's Day from Gabe (1st grade)soon after I had taken a sock on hard wood floor fly down the stairs in front of him. I had a page in it that showed me drawn sprawled out on the floor and it said "I help my Mommy when she falls down".

He might as well put a wine glass in my hand.
