April Book Giveaway....

Hello...hello. Before we get to our current book giveaway, a special thank you to the folks who participated in the March giveaway. Our randomly drawn winner was Sherry. If you didn't win, I encourage you to buy your own copy of last month's book, Water For Elephants. It was good. And if you're going to buy it, why not buy it from my Amazon link? It's right over there above my Currently Reading List.

Continuing on with my fabulous book giveaway idea- because who doesn't like good, FREE books- I give you the April book, The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver. To qualify for this month's giveaway, simply leave a comment listing your favorite book (or books). The contest will be open until Sunday, April 13, 2008 at 12:00 AM (EST). That's midnight. I'll draw one random winner on Monday from qualifying contestants. I'm willing to ship worldwide. Can't wait to get started on this book? There's the Amazon link over there on the right. Good luck!

I loved High Tide in Tucson by Kingsolver but one of my very favorites is Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd (and FirstLight.) Also Ask and It Is Given by Jerry and Esther Hicks and all of the Conversation with Gods books by Neale Donald Walsh. I love books in general!
Thank you :)

I read this years ago and absolutely LOVED it! It was my first book club book in Lake Placid. I had to pass it along to many friends so am not certain where the ragged copy is now... The follow up Pigs in Heaven was good, too. But Bean Trees is great!

Hmm, my favorite or just a really good book --?! I think that almost every book I read is really good. Stephen Donaldson's Song of Ice and Fire sci-fi series probably is my favoite. It is based on the nibelung epic by Wagner.

Seems somehow unfair, I think, having to pick only one favorite... :D

Funny how this one isn't tattered (or at least you've left out that bit of detail) and SOO many people desire your free used book.

Huh.

I certify that this copy did not come from my mom, so it has not been perused by Cady the Black Lab.

I bought this book and its sequel, as well as Animal Dreams, because I liked the cover art. Good purchases.

I've been trying to find this book on audio so that I can listen to it in the car, but that's been a tough chore. This sounds like a great alternative!

Ooh! I loved "Secret Life of Bees" too. I just read "Follow the Cow Herd Boy", a historical fiction novel about 15th century India. It was really fascinating. The author was signing books in Hastings the day before Easter, when all us procrastinating Bunnies were out shopping. So I splurged and got myself a signed book, and I'm very glad I did. It was great.
