When I Blinked.

My dining room carpet...

you know the one- the tan wall to wall carpet with four kids under the age of 9-...

it became a much more lovely Beech laminate floor. The kind you can sweep and mop.

Rich will assure you there was more to installing the floor than me just blinking.

Why yes. The walls do still need to be painted. Again. To cover up Greeley's less than artistic art work. And yes. I do hate those curtains. They're much more offensive when there's no other furniture in the room.

That looks great! Blink some more... maybe you'll get your new curtains and freshly painted walls! ;)

OOOOOOH. It's BRUTIFUL.

Although, didn't you just get a Lab?
AHAHAHA. Better pick up a swiffer!

As a lab owner, I can testify a Swiffer is a daily necessity.

I think yellow labs shed more, too. Yay for Swiffer!

I gave you an award on my blog today... go see.

Was it just the dining room or that whole end of the house? And if just the DR, what's the divide like? And will you eventually do the stairs? Is that in the plan?

I was thinking maybe you should open a Flickr account so you can upload pictures faster. If you felt like it.

Today's secret word: gratosi

Just the dining room, Uncle Michael. And won't you just have to come and see it to see what the threshold looks like. Neener neener neener.

Spell check does not recognize neener neener neener, by the way.

As of the date of this posting, you no longer had four kids under the age of 9....

My verification word? Is "retards." I kid you not.

Nice floor! It looks really smooth and shiny.

We just ripped up the old carpet and then painted the plywood (1/2 the floor) and the old hard wood (1/2 the floor). Our temporary floor is not nearly as nice but since it also is not smooth and shiny there's no need for a swiffer yet.

The floor looks great. And so much easier to clean up.
