Not So Photogenic Family...

In the comments of the last post, Uncle Michael mentioned he wanted to see these pictures. I really figured nobody would ever want to see these pictures. Then I realized there's a certain humor in bad pictures. So, here we go.

Picture 1: The Atlee action shot. Rich and I were both looking into the sun (I think). Our eyes our closed in all of these pictures. This is not a Shea action shot.

Picture 2: Atlee's starting the previously mentioned meltdown. Shea looks like we just told him we're going to give his DS to some other kid. Rich and my eyes are still closed.

Picture 3: I can't explain the look on my face. My husband looks confused. Perhaps wondering how his wife talked him into bringing three kids to the Gettysburg Visitor's Center on a holiday weekend. Shea has given up all pretense of being interested in anything. Atlee may appear to be studying her hair, but she's really an 1/8 of an inch from losing control.

Greeley doesn't care what any of us is doing in any of the shots. Don't you love how you can almost feel the warm, fuzzy joy my children were emitting? This has been a round of the unphotogenic family. Hope you're happy, Uncle Michael.

HA HA ...HA HAHA ....HA HAHAHA

(sorry, I still had a few in me!!)

This is great! A lot better than the pics that me and the hubby take of both of us with our arms extended and the camera is out of focus and crooked.

there HAS to be a word for that type of picture gathering (maybe Happy Hour Sue could invent one!)

I like #1. Comes very close to being an art shot, don't you think? The action factor combined with Shea looking like a muse or a thoughtful poet or something is fab.

I just love it!!! Think of the memories that were made. You'll all sit back and just laugh at that one day. Well, maybe not anytime in the near future, but one day! :-)

I thought the rest of you were fairly static or posed but I don't have the patience to take good pictures. I was only glancing at the viewscreen and you were all in one place w Atlee turned away (I thought she was turned away and covering her face, which is what made it perfect in my mind). Maybe we'll have to try to recreate it another time. In the meantime you can crop Atlee from the first one and Shea from all three of them and use those as good individual pictures of them.

And your husband squints like that all the time; haven't you noticed? :)

Possibly THE greatest feature of photoshop Elements: You can take the best pose of each person from a repeated group shot and merge them into one perfect photo (hello-Christmas card!)

REALLY, those are the kind of photos that you look back on in a few years and just laugh out loud, because you remember the moment (and the feelings) PERFECTLY!!!!

Thanks for making me laugh today!!

(By the way, I think your Atlee and my Gracie would be REALLY GOOD FRIENDS if they lived near each other!!)

Pick the one you look the best in and forget the rest...it's all about you, right?

If you look at them in sequence, you can see Shea's head is slowly tilting to sleep...

I like Greeley's face in the second one. She seems to be giving the "bulldog" face to someone off screen. "Who are you and what do you want?" says the little frowner.
