Baby, You Can [Pretend To] Drive My Car

by Uncle Michael

Emmy behind the wheel.

If he ever does this while you are around, be sure to do one of three things: 1. Find the key and take it. 2. Keep a door open. 3. Get in the car with him.
Emmy has a habit of locking the doors and not understanding how "unlock" works.

Would you trust this baby with your daily commute?

THIS turn signal goes out to all the fans!!

Emmy is overcome with the ecstasy of being in the driver's seat.

Later, the speed demon switched cars. Here he appears to be backing up.

A very safety-conscious driver (when he's not howling at the roof), Emmy always tries to put on his seat belt.

Now it's time to fire this baby up. First I'll let out the parking brake...

...adjust the tunage...

...and I am OUTTA HERE!! [Big brother Shea, muffled by the window: "Emerson! No!"]

When I was little I loved playing in the old cars behind Grandpa Duell's. Just remember to get the keys from him. He looked like he was having so much fun.

Oh, I can already see Emmy holding the wheel of Uncle John's FUN MG. That thing really growls when you start it. And then there is the wind blowing your hair off your head... wow!

So true, Mom.

Uncle Michael, I hadn't even seen this post when I commented on another about how it's a good thing you hadn't taught Emerson to drive! Little did I know.
