IOU one post.

Alright- I really owe a lot of posts. But today? Today was not the day. Today was an anticipated high of 97 degrees. I don't know what the actual temperature was, but it was hot. Gross and sticky hot. Miserable hot. The kind of hot that makes you pack up all your kids and drive fifteen minutes to a friend's house because she has central AC. (That's also known as a good friend.)

There are severe thunderstorms predicted for tonight, which will hopefully take down the humidity. Because then I could post some of the pictures of my friend Gret's visit this weekend. Or the kids on the slip-and-slide this evening. But tonight, I'm going to go melt on my couch.

Oh, it sounds as if you've gotten our weather from yesterday today. Just when we thought we might get through the summer without the really hot and muggy stuff hitting us, it hit.

If the pattern of we get it and then you get it the next day holds, tomorrow will be hot but somewhat less so than today.

Hang in there!

I don't blame you - I hate the heat as well. "Heat" means above 75degrees. It's 76 in Lake Clear now. If I wasn't working, I'd be in the lake, freezing. LOVE the ADKs!

Yeah, ...really not having any empathy....some of us were outside working in it....

I have this sneaking suspicion that the anonymous comment is in fact my husband.

If you are right about Anonymous, it goes to show that males, even when they see it day-and-night, don't really consider what a mother does work.

Only real men are permitted to sweat.

I feel tempted to reveal who I am, but won't--except to confess that I'm a male too, tempted to treason against my...is it sex or is it gender. I wish I had my PC dictionary handy.

You know it's hot when your visiting sister from Florida can't handle it either! And we live much further north than you, sadly so..

T'aint much better up here - high 80s for several days. Ew. Least it cools to the 50s at night I guess. And here I am ... is it weird that the only blog visiting time I have is when I am working at Ted's? LOL
