Pssst...Guess What I Got?....

Hello. How ya doing? You know what happened to me? My brother-in-law (also known as the bestest brother-in-law in the whole world... Which was a tough competition- I mean John bought me a bathroom at the Mountain house...but, Michael?) , Michael, bought me a Canon PowerShot A560.

The best part? Clearly that it takes the picture when you push the button. Not seven seconds later. Seven seconds later, with kids? Forever.

I get lots of pictures of Greeley- 'cuz. um, she's usually attached to me and all.

The other night? I took all my free raspberries from the mountain house and made daiquiries. See the glass with the bunny straw on the railing? Yum... Raspberry Daiquiries, thanks Cooking Light. Thanks Mom, for the Cooking Light subscription.

Greeley was oh so cranky with our friend, Christy. Totally not her fault. Not Chrisy's fault that is.
Look! It's Deanna from New York. Yeah- it's a smackdown. All you Adirondack folk who said, "(squeal!!!!!!) I love Gettysburg... of course we'll visit!!!!!! (squeal!!!!!!)" Deanna and her husband, Steve, came to visit. So, um, what's your excuse? Yes, you, you know you'd said you'd visit...

We had fun.

Well, Rich, the kids and I had fun.

We hope Deanna and Steve had fun. Although, she did mention that she knew she'd end up on the blog.

Ooooooh. Yeah. I said blog. Mom blog. Yeah- I participate in a Mom Blog. Look! It's Rich and Greeley.

So- the new camera. It came with the card that holds 16 pictures or so....

A lot of the 16 was Greeley. Again, she's attached to me and all...

See?! Those are Rich's boxers I'm wearing...

The new camera captures Greeley climbing (again!!!!) over the couch to the desk to the printer....

Oh! How she climbs.....

***This post and all future photography funded by the "Uncle Michael Wants to See More Pictures of the Kids" fund.... thanks, Uncle Michael.....***

Congrats for the camera! Gooooooo, Camera! Technology moves so fast with these stupid things nowadays, I feel like I need a new one every other week. I just dropped my "old" one and pushed the lens in crooked at a glorious and amusing angle. (Not on purpose.) So, I just got a new one too. Awesome pics of the kid - such expression!

Look how Rich has hair again!

Congrats on the new camera (drool) -- you're lucky! My camera was dropped literally an entire five minutes after I opened it at Christmas and figured out how to turn it on... And the sad part is that I didn't drop it, but my excited eight year olds wanted to each have it and then - bam!- onto the floor hard tile floor it went. So now the lens cover doesn't quite close all of the way and the battery door is chipped so that any new or recharged batteries are drained in mere minutes. Glad for you. Although all of your pics before were great!! We, here in New York, the non visiting friends you have, look forward to more pics of your family. Thank you!

PS Thanks for the guilt trip :) My kids are already very very adamant about visiting yours soon!

Yes, Susan & Rich, we had a great time! Thank you again for your hospitality. It was great to see you all again and to meet Ms Greeley. But I am wondering...what happened to "retouching" my pics???? :-)

Uncle Mike,

You Rule!! Not just because you have **the most** beautiful nieces and nephew - but you bought Sue a new camera. You saw a desire and purchased (and maybe heard her whining - GOD she can wail!!)

Sue, Amazing posts (yes, that's plural!!), beautiful children (where's Shea!?!?) and, by God, Greeley has The Most Amazing eyes - how, why, who...tell me. Rich, you look gray - AND Do Not Take that offensively (maybe I should be emailing you and not be broadcasting??!?! NAH!!) But, gray is sexy!! Love it!

ok - back to children - they are wonderful.

The world wants to know: have you been back to the Gap??

In the picture of Atlee on the porch by the alcohol, she looks a lot like Shea (something to do with the way her hair falls diagonally across her face).

From the camera description: "Four movie modes including 30 fps VGA and 60 fps Fast Frame Rate.." - what?? Maybe I should have bought that one for myself! (I bought myself another Kodak.) I'm glad that you like it; after I sent it I thought: "It looks a lot like the other one; what if they're just the same camera with a different name?" I was feeling kind of stupid.

Congrats...the A560 is a nice cam. I love Canon digicams; they're the best by far, IMO. I was the "digital camera geek" when I worked at Target, and 9 times out of 10, the customer would leave with a Canon. (The only exceptions were when they already had their minds set on another brand and ignored me, or when I didn't think they were experienced/smart/serious enough for a Canon - then I'd recommend a Nikon or Kodak.)

We have two Canon digicams ourselves - an A720 IS and an S3 IS. Love 'em!

Now go walk through the Triangular Field with it. ;) ;) (FWIW, I did that years ago with a 35mm camera and it worked fine...no mysterious malfunctions or apparitions, and I still have the pics somewhere.)
