I'm Not Dead Yet.

The cold of all colds recently crushed me. Perhaps it was a flu? I've always been kind of iffy on the difference there. Anywho, suffice it to say, the last week has sucked. Fortunately, my wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful husband picked up my slack completely. He took care of the kids. He did the shopping. He made the meals. He still managed to fit some work in there. My kitchen counters have never been so clean. He's totally kicked my ass at being a housewife this week. Perhaps I really do need to step up my game a tad?

Granted, dinner on Tuesday evening was french fries. He made them from potatoes and brought out the deep fryer. I don't have any proof but I'm thinking he was secretly happy I was too weak to protest the use of the deep fryer. I asked Shea what Daddy had made for dinner that night.

"French fries." "But did he serve anything with them?" "Oh yeah. Ketchup and mayonnaise."

Well you know us guys ... I figure, you can really deep fry just about anything. (We have a British restaurant neat us that does the whole deep fried twinkies thing!) Hope you're up and feeling all well soon!

MMMMmmmmm - freedom fries! I've been having ice cream for breakfast for 3 days straight. And dinner, let's not talk about the dinner menu for the last week. Thankfully it's Friday, Pizza Night! Off the hook again!!

Glad you're feeling better. I, too, have had the mother of all colds... pretty sure it was pneumonia, despite what hubby said...

I would KILL for some real, homemade, deep fried french fries right now... YUM.

Sweet! French fries! I'm pretty sure they're what's in the little triangle at the top of the food pyramid. Right? :)
