When I Blinked.

My dining room carpet...

you know the one- the tan wall to wall carpet with four kids under the age of 9-...

it became a much more lovely Beech laminate floor. The kind you can sweep and mop.

Rich will assure you there was more to installing the floor than me just blinking.

Welcome Wilson.

Tracey, I'm sorry. Go ahead and scroll down to the last picture. For the rest of you, I'd like to introduce our new family member, Wilson.

This is mostly what he does. He also wags his tail. He doesn't bark. Well, he did this morning for the first time. It freaked me out so much, I went running. There may or may not have been a Zoe cat involved. And I can add, she started it.

The poor dog doesn't get a lot of privacy. There's always some kid checking him out. What's he doing? What's he doing now? Greeley in particular is always on hand for any bathroom activities. Is he peeing? Is he pooping? Can I touch the poop with a stick?

And then there is this one. He's kind of obsessed with the tail. He reached out the other day and got a big handful of dog. And you know what happened? Do you? Did the dog growl? No, he did what a dog is supposed to do in my way of thinking.

He licked that baby what fore.

The Camp in Maine- the teaser.

I'll try to get the others up sooner rather than later. Thanks mom!

On The Road Again.

This? This is not the actual dog we adopted today. But this was a yellow lab at the SPCA in York. And we did adopt a yellow lab at the SPCA in York. But, sadly, we don't get to bring him home until next week. Or later this week. Er, they'll call us.

Yellow lab haiku,
Still a wide, open market.
Hopefully, growl free.

I was unsupervised.

I changed Rich's Facebook profile picture today to this. You'll probably have to click to enlarge it.

What? It doesn't look like Maine?

Maine was awesome. The lack of batteries for my camera? Not so awesome. We're now dependent on my parents sending us pictures.

But in the mean time, I do have 3rd birthday pictures.

Cupcakes! Blue cupcakes with little pearls like Olivia the PBS pig wears!

And presents in pink packages!

She had her trusty team of assistants- also known as her sister and bestest neighbor Petey.

Accessories were the gift of choice this year.

I love the smiling Atlee in the back ground.

Did you know my kids have blue eyes?

Greeley didn't tell us what her wish was.

Perhaps it was a wish for a blue cupcake?

(Thank you all for your kind thoughts about Booth.* I'm kind of in a holding pattern while I figure out the possibilities for a future canine companion. But, rest assured, there will be a dog. There will be a dog.

*Coming back from Maine, we stopped at a fast food restaurant. While Rich, Shea and Atlee got our food, Greeley, Emerson and I were finding a seat. I suggested a booth in the shade and Greeley looked up at me and said, "But will he growl at me?" I was confused for fifteen seconds.)
